Cabernet Sauvignon Shootout

DEADLINE FOR CABERNET SAUVIGNON SHOOTOUT
All submissions must be received by November 16, 2007

Click here for online registration form

An incredible array of palates will gather to assess the best of the best at the Cabernet Sauvignon finals on November 26, 2007.

The Cabernet Sauvignon Shootout will explore and assess different styles of Cabernet Sauvignon from the world over.  We will denote the descriptors and scores of the panelists and if there is a definitive difference, we will describe the wines as experienced by the female and male panelists as well as the attendees in an attempt to discover whether women and men prefer different wine styles.

The final judging will be conducted on Monday, November 26, 2007.

Articles featuring The Cabernet Sauvignon Shootout will appear in numerous wine publications.

The finalists will be showcased at a special Cabernet Sauvignon Shootout event later this year.

The comments and reactions to the wines will be accessible on the Affairs of the Vine website http://www.affairsofthevine.com and will be posted in late December, 2007.

Vintners wishing to partake in this event should submit four bottles of each entry by November 16, 2007:

Please provide the information requested on the submission form for each wine submitted. It will be helpful if you will include a spec sheet when you send your wine.

International Wine Review provides the wine trade (importers, distributors, retailers, sommeliers) and wine enthusiasts everywhere, with current, accurate information regarding important wines and regions of the world. This stellar bi-monthly publication is not just a list of wines with scores; it provides insight and understanding as to why wines differ in style and quality.

Co-publishers Jay Youmans, MW and Mike Potashnik, PhD combine their in-depth knowledge of wine and international experience to offer expert tasting notes, ratings, and unique perspectives on selected premium wine varieties.  Their reports focus on regions and wines currently gaining market prominence.  Many of the wines reviewed are available at IWR Recommended Retailers across the United States. Some of the wines reviewed are produced in such small quantities they may only be purchased directly from producers. To assist the reader in finding particular wines, contact information for the producer or importer is provided.
