2009 Great Whites Shootout

Click here for online registration form

An incredible array of palates will gather to assess the great white wines from all over the world at the Great Whites finals on August 17, 2009 in San Francisco, California.

The Wine Shootout Team expands their reach as The Wine Spies join Affairs of the Vine, Wine Radius and International Wine Review.

Defining Wine Styles

An incredibly comprehensive and unique tasting of beloved white wine varietals, this year's Great Whites Shootout will explore and assess different varietals and styles of white wines. We will denote the descriptors and scores of the panelists and we will describe the wines as experienced by the female and male panelists in an attempt to discover whether women and men prefer different wine styles.

Affairs of the Vine will conduct the Great Whites Shootout prelims throughout July and early August of 2009.

The final judging will be conducted on Monday, August 17, 2009.

The Great Whites Shootout will be featured on Twitter, other Social Media networks and in numerous wine publications.

For the first time ever, the top wines from the Cabernet Shootout will have the opportunity to be a featured wine on The Wine Spies http://www.thewinespies.com

The finalists will be showcased at a special Great Whites Shootout event later this year.

The comments and reactions to the wines will be accessible on the Affairs of the Vine website and will be posted by mid September, 2009.
