The day long Pinotcentric event begins with The Pinot Noir Showdown, a blind tasting of top-rated Pinot Noirs. Attendees become wine judges for the day and pit their palates against the expert panel, tasting and voting on their favorites.
Guests may attend two Pinot Noir workshops featuring wine experts from around the country exploring the many faces and facets of Pinot with top winemakers and viticulturists. Workshops....
Enjoy Wines That Dance on Your Tongue, A Sparkling Wine Reception, including an incredible array of international cheeses.
Winemakers, proprietors, and winery personnel will share their outstanding Pinot Noirs at The Grand Awards Tasting. Other wines produced by the wineries will be available to taste at their stations.
A selection of pinot-friendly hors d’oeuvres will be served.
The identity of the wines tasted at the Pinot Noir Showdown will be revealed. The final results will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at The Summit at 6:30 PM on February 26, 2011.

•You be the judge ~ 64 wines have moved to the final phase, the Pinot Noir Showdown. These wines have randomly been put into two groups. You will be assigned to taste and review 32 top-rated Pinot Noirs from around the globe in a blind tasting. Turn in your scores and you may then taste any or all of the other 32. Wow!
•Enjoy Pinot Noir Workshops conducted by expert winemakers, viticulturists and wine educators
•Meet and taste with top Pinot Noir winemakers at the Grand Tasting, specially paired hors d’oeuvre

A multi-course dinner featuring incredible food and wine
Tables will be hosted by Pinot Noir Winemakers
Chef James Aptakin will prepare the courses to pair perfectly with the specific wines at each table.
