The Pinot Noir Shootouts will define Pinot Noir styles by exploring and assessing the many wines that will be tasted by our judging panel. We will denote the descriptors and scores of the panelists and we will describe  the wines as experienced by the female and male panelists in an attempt to discover whether women and men prefer different wine styles.

Affairs of the Vine will conduct the Pinot Noir Shootout preliminary tastings throughout September, October and November. The final judging will be conducted on Saturday, December 10, 2011 in San Francisco, California. This will give us plenty of time to analyze the results and invite wineries to participate in the 10th Annual Pinot Noir Summit to be held in San Francisco on February 11, 2012.
